 SMA Eagles NFC Championship Game Spirit Day!
FRIDAY, January 27^th, 2022 is "SMA Eagles Playoff Spirit Day" at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic School!  Our EAGLES play the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game!!!  In addition to their school uniforms, students have the option of wearing an article of clothing representing the Eagles. (Green Shirt, Sweatshirt, Hat, Socks, Etc.)  Thank you and let’s hear an E – A – G – L – E – S: Eagles!!!

·January 31  Tuesday: “Catholic Schools: “Learn, Serve, Lead, Succeed”. NEW! SMA Buddy Day! Do an activity with your buddies. GRADES: (PK3-5)  (PK4-4) (K-8) (1-2) (6 – 3) (3-7) SMA SOUPer Bowl Helps Needy Families!
·February 1 Wednesday: “Catholic Schools: “Learn, Serve, Lead, Succeed”.  Student Appreciation Day We honor our excellent students!  Dress Down Day: Green & Gold are the colors!  Every student will receive a CSW/SMA Eraser and new designed SMA car magnet.   NEW! Afternoon Board Game Contests & Flip Video Messages!
·February 2 Thursday: “Catholic Schools: “Learn, Serve, Lead, Succeed”.  Teacher & Staff Appreciation Day We honor and thank our awesome teachers!  Gift and lunch provided for SMA staff. Library Assemblies!!!
·February 3 Friday: “Catholic Schools: “Learn, Serve, Lead, and Succeed”. World Administration Appreciation Day ~ We honor Pope Francis!   We appreciate our Pastor, Father Dilorio. School Mass at 9:30.  11:30 Dismissal. (CARES IS AVAILABLE THIS DAY)

We love getting library cards into the hands of school students, and are working to make the library an accessible, welcoming place for children and their families. Greetings!  Ten  years ago as part of the activities for our celebration of Catholic Schools Week every SMA family was given a felt piece which was decorated and sewed together to form our SMA Family Quilt. It turned out great and is presently hanging in our school gym.   If you are new this year or you want to do another one, please contact the school for a felt piece. Directions on how to complete are below.
*Put your family name on the felt (horizontal position) and decorate it however you like. See example below.  All squares must be returned by Friday, 1/27/23.

Additional Activities!
SMA SOUPer Bowl!
SMA School will begin collecting SOUP cans to donate for a SOUPer Bowl.  Begins Friday, 1/27/23.  The class that has highest percentage of soup cans per student wins.  Cans will be counted on Friday, 2/3/23. The winning classroom gets a pizza or ice cream bar party (their choice) Friday before the Super Bowl.

Most holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hope. 
Please intercede on my behalf. Make use of that particular privilege given to you to bring hope, comfort, and help where they are needed most. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven as I work with my challenges, particularly (here make your request). I praise God with you and all the saints forever. 
I promise, blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you.
