My name is Alyssa Wiltbank, and I am so excited to be the music teacher here at St. Michael the Archangel School. I graduated from Immaculata University with a concentrated Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education (K-12) with classical voice as my primary instrument of study. I am certified in the state of Pennsylvania (Music PreK-12), and I have professional memberships with the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA), the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), Pi Kappa Lambda (National Honor Society in Music) as well as Kappa Delta Pi (International Honor Society in Education). This is my second year at SMA, and I am looking forward to another wonderful year of music-making. Besides being a music teacher, I am also an active performer. I have been singing in choirs for over 16 years and have performed in over 13 plays/musicals. So when I am not at school, you can always find me in a rehearsal for an upcoming local concert or performance. I have performed with ensembles in PA, NJ, and NYC. Just recently, I had the opportunity to even be filmed as a Virtual Audience Member for "America's Got Talent" (2020) and background for NBC's "This is Us" (2019). You can also find me singing in YouTube projects such as: Eric Whitacre's Virtual Choir 6: Sing Gently (2020), Virtual Choir 5: Deep Field (2018), Virtual Youth Choir: What If (2014), and Virtual Choir 4: Fly to Paradise (2013). In my free time, I love attending live concerts and musicals with friends. I also enjoy listening to various styles of music, but my favorite genres are Broadway and Pop. I like to go shopping, eat Chick-fil-A, and get my Starbucks fix as well. Want to know a secret? I know how to get to Sesame Street. ;)
