Creating art takes us on a journey of the mind via the soul.
Here at St. Michael the Archangel School we have developed an art curriculum that mirrors what is happening in the classroom. What this means is that if a class is learning about the planets we are creating a corresponding project in the art room. Or if your child is preparing for a sacrament we are doing a related art project to reinforce the faith. How exciting for all of us!
As we focus on fine art, meaning that we study the masters, each child will develop age appropriate fine motor skills, eye hand coordination, study color theory, expand their general vocabulary and create their own masterpieces.
